We are excited to announce the newest addition to our team, Dr. Rune Lassen, who will be joining us as a Senior Hydrogeologist/Senior Scientist based in Denver, CO. Dr. Lassen’s extensive experience and expertise in geologic and hydrogeologic site investigations, along with his dedication to environmental stewardship, make him an invaluable asset to our growing mining program.

With over a decade of experience in geologic and hydrogeologic site investigations and remedial implementations, Dr. Lassen brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. His background includes extensive work on active remediation sites under regulatory compliance, demonstrating his proficiency in navigating various regulatory frameworks. He also has extensive field experience in planning and executing sampling campaigns, geological core logging, and geophysical methods.

Dr. Lassen holds a PhD in Hydrogeology from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and a MS in Geology-Geoscience and BS in Geology-Geoscience. Dr. Lassen is fluent in English, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian languages. 

As Senior Hydrogeologist/Senior Scientist at KC Harvey, Dr. Lassen will play a crucial role in supporting our mining program. His responsibilities will include providing support for environmental and technical permitting to mining and energy projects; developing conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater flow and transport models; conducting field investigations, including well construction, drilling, testing oversight, and water sampling; preparing, analyzing, and interpreting technical hydrological and geological data for permit applications; and offering technical leadership and mentorship to junior scientists.

His innovative approach to projects, coupled with his technical expertise will significantly enhance our capabilities in the mining and energy sectors.
