Kevin is a board-certified professional soil scientist, land reclamation and water quality specialist with 35 years of environmental and natural resource consulting experience throughout North America, Mexico, Australasia and Europe. Kevin earned his B.S. degree in Resource Conservation with an emphasis in Soil Science from the University of Montana, School of Forestry. He earned his M.S. in Land Rehabilitation with an emphasis in soil science from the Montana State University, Reclamation Research Unit. He is noted for his technical expertise in the management of soil and water resources, and the reclamation of disturbed lands associated with oil and gas, mining, and energy development, as well as for his skills in general environmental management and problem solving.
David Cameron, BSc, PE

David is a registered professional engineer with over 30 years of experience concentrated in the areas of geotechnical engineering, water resources, construction, land reclamation, and stormwater management throughout North America, South America, Mexico, and Australasia. David earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Colorado in Denver. His experience includes a wide variety of technical services to support permitting, development, operations and closure of mining facilities, pipelines and oil and gas well locations located throughout the U.S. and abroad.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Dirk has more than 29 years of environmental consulting experience and has been in a senior business development and operations role for the past 22 years. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Colgate University. From owning a small business to leading as an executive at large engineering firms, Dirk has been responsible for all aspects of business development and marketing, staffing, strategy development, and implementation of business plans. He has developed strategic initiatives and solutions for improving business operations throughout the past 22 years. Dirk’s technical background in site investigation and remediation, impact assessment, natural resource management and environmental compliance and permitting provides a broad platform to lead in the environmental consulting industry.
Phyllis Wernikowski, CPA
Phyllis is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources with 22 years of human resources, benefit planning, insurance, and financial management experience. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BS in Business Administration – Accounting, and MS in Taxation. Phyllis is the Financial Manager overseeing the accounting and human resources department. As a member of the executive management team, she is responsible for the financial planning and analysis, treasury, internal audit, and tax functions. In addition, Phyllis specializes in attracting top talent for KC Harvey and the administration of benefits.
David Marshall, MSc, P.G.
Geology, Water Resources and Land Reclamation
David Marshall is a registered professional geologist with 27 years of natural resource consulting experience in North and South America. David earned his B.S. degree in geology from the University of Vermont and M.S. degree in geology from the University of Wyoming. David is noted for his multidisciplinary project management skills including application of innovative landscape scale data analysis techniques toward solving natural resource issues. He applies this expertise to large scale land reclamation and watershed management projects.
Michael Larson, MSc, CPSS
Soil, Water and Environmental Management Systems
Michael is a board certified professional soil scientist with over 30 years of environmental and natural resource consulting and private industry environmental team experience. Michael earned his B.S. degree in Forestry with an emphasis on environmental science/biology from the Southern Illinois School of Forestry. He then earned a M.S. in Soils from Montana State University. Michael’s specialties are environmental project management, due diligence, compliance and permitting, site assessment, and remediation. His work experience spans a variety of service areas including oil and gas, utility, mining, and chemical processing. Michael’s primary focus during the last 10 years has been to support the oil and gas sector with their environmental projects, due diligence, and compliance tasks.
Dennis Neuman, MSc
Environmental Chemistry, Chemometrics and Reclamation Science
Dennis has been involved in land reclamation/restoration research and policy issues on drastically disturbed sites in the West since the 1970s. Emphasis has been on ameliorating plant limiting conditions (acidity, phytotoxicity, and fertility), plant species selection, and monitoring vegetation and soil response variables. Dennis was Director of the Reclamation Research Unit at Montana State University and now serves as Affiliate Professor in the Department of Land Resources & Environmental Science. Dennis is an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation, having served on the Society’s National Executive Committee, and as President (2009-2011).
Stuart Jennings, MSc
Geology, Geochemistry and Land Reclamation
Stuart is a land reclamation scientist with 25 years of environmental and natural resource consulting experience. Stuart earned his B.S. degree in Geology from Montana State University. He earned his M.S. in Land Rehabilitation (Montana State) with a focus on the geochemistry of acid producing sulfide minerals. His professional career has emphasized native plant restoration in metal-affected soils. Stuart was a founder of Reclamation Research Group, LLC which merged with KC Harvey Environmental in 2012.
